Invoice processing for your application

Connect billing, accounting and ERP workflows to Jordan’s national e-invoicing system.

Submit invoices

Create income, general-tax and special-tax invoices. Send supplier, buyer and line-item data in a structured JSON request.

Submission guide →

Check invoice fields, discounts and tax amounts before submission. Inspect the same totals used to build the invoice XML.

Calculation rules →

Work with invoice XML

Retrieve retained XML or convert a UBL document back into invoice JSON for inspection and integration workflows.

XML endpoints →

Track submission results

Look up an invoice by UUID, inspect its government response and follow submissions that need verification.

Response reference →

Manage your API integration

The partner portal gives your team access to API keys, invoice history and usage balances.

Open partner portal
API keys
Create named credentials, set expiry dates and revoke access.
Invoice history
Search submissions by invoice, supplier or UUID.
Usage and balance
Review available invoices, reserved usage and batch expiry dates.

Jordan Fawtara / JoFotara sandbox

Test invoice JSON, JOD tax totals and unsigned XML before going live. The AVTAX sandbox runs local checks without sending invoices to JoFotara.

Explore the JoFotara sandbox
Use the same API
Add X-Sandbox-Mode: true to your invoice request.
Understand the result
Sandbox success confirms local validation. Government acceptance is checked in live mode.
Plan your allowance
Each successful sandbox invoice uses one shared allowance unit. Totals verification uses none.

JoFotara integration questions

What does the Jordan Fawtara / JoFotara API do?

AVTAX Jordan API connects your software to Jordan’s national e-invoicing system. Send invoice JSON, check calculated taxes, read submission results and download available invoice XML.

Is this the official government portal?

AVTAX is an independent integration service. Live invoices are sent to JoFotara using the supplier’s government credentials. JoFotara determines government acceptance.

Can I test without submitting a government invoice?

Yes. Use the JoFotara sandbox guide to run local validation and receive unsigned XML. Sandbox requests never reach JoFotara.

What do I need to start?

A partner account, a partner API key and invoice allowance. Live submission also needs the supplier’s JoFotara credentials. Follow the API integration guide.

Authentication. Endpoints. Examples.

Everything your team needs to connect to the API.
